

Palmer Multimedia Imaging, starting in 1994, is a unique business in the Susquehanna Valley devoted to the task of recording and preserving memories. These services include the area’s first local digital photo restoration, film and video conversion, CD/DVD duplication, photographic and videographic services – both analog and digital.
Wayne Palmer is the owner-operator and a life-long resident of Williamsport, Pa. He has had a passion for photography all his life. He has a degree in education from Bloomsburg State College, but his interest in photography kept him in the darkroom as much as the classroom. After college, Wayne was employed by Guardian Photo Inc., for 13 years, in the marketing of photofinishing services on a national level.

His restoration skills have been professionally recognized. He has served as a technical editor for 15 Photoshop – Digital Imaging titles. He has been involved with each edition of the Photoshop Restoration & Retouching books being co-author of the 3rd and 4th editions which have been translated into multiple languages.

His opinions are trusted by giants in the industry. Wayne has worked with such notables as Katrin Eismann, Julieanne Kost, Jerry Courvoisier, Mike Ninness, Mark Galer, Barry Haynes, Richard Harrington, Wendy Crumpler, Sean Dugan, Bert Monroy, Helen Yancy, Taz Tally, & Suzette Trouche-Stapp.
Wayne is and has been a beta tester for Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Bridge, Adobe Camera Raw, Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements for 20 years.
He is also credited for the preparation of historic photos for publication in the books Williamsport’s Baseball Heritage and Gateway to the Majors: Williamsport and Minor League Baseball.
Wayne had a small part in the making of HBO documentary Underfire: The Untold Story of Pfc. Tony Vaccaro. He is credited for photo restoration.
A self-described AV nerd, Wayne enjoys sharing his knowledge of photography, digital imaging and computers. He taught Photoshop and Digital Imaging classes for the continuing education department at the Pennsylvania College of Technology for 18 years and has been a volunteer instructor of computer literacy for the James V. Brown Library.
Wayne was a founding member of the Susquehanna Valley Shutterbugs a local photography group. He has served in every office position and continues to be actively involved in the group. Click here to link to that web site

Wayne was featured in the Sunday Sun Gazette Life Style section. He was mentioned in the New York Times for his photo restoration work. Here is a TV news story showing the same image mentioned in the Times article. He was credited by Popular Photography Magazine as being part of the best book to learn Photoshop.
Wayne is married to Dr. Pamela Herrington and in their few spare moments can be found roaming the local area mountains on horseback.
